What began in 1911 as a modest forge in Arcen has grown into a globally leading engineering company specialising in secure currency destruction and circular technologies. Fifteen years ago, the company was granted the right to use the designation “Royal Dutch” — a recognition it continues to hold with great pride, reflecting more than a century of craftsmanship, reliability and innovation.**Over the decades, Kusters Engineering BV has evolved from traditional craftsmanship into advanced industrial engineering. Since the introduction of its currency destruction systems in 1979, the company has played a key role in the secure processing and destruction of banknotes and coins worldwide. Today, Kusters supplies high-tech machines and complete systems to central banks, governments and industrial partners across the globe. Its focus remains firmly on innovation, sustainability and the circular economy. The designation “Royal Dutch” underlines the company’s longstanding commitment to quality, continuity and trust.   At the company’s Venlo site, George Kusters has brought together a remarkable collection of historical facts, milestones and heritage pieces that reflect the company’s rich history. This dedicated space offers visitors a tangible insight into the development and craftsmanship that have shaped Kusters over the past 115 years. Although it is not open to the public, guests with an interest in Kusters are very welcome to explore it during a visit to Venlo.   “Our history shows how craftsmanship and innovation continuously strengthen one another,” says Kusters. “From our origins as a forge to our current position as a high-tech engineering partner, 115 years of development form the foundation for our future. We are also proud to have carried the ‘Royal Dutch’ designation for the past 15 years, as a recognition of our heritage and our enduring commitment to excellence. At the same time, we are already looking ahead to the next milestone: 125 years.”    ### Subscribe to Email Updates ### Recent Posts ### Subscribe to Email Updates ![Royal Dutch Kusters Engineering](https://www.royaldutchkusters.com/hubfs/corporate/logos/royal-dutch-kusters-engineering-logo.svg "Royal Dutch Kusters Engineering") L.J.
