Secure Document Destruction with the ID Series
Destroy classified documents with the Intelligent Disintegrator (ID Series), using two-stage disintegration and enclosed, lockable feeding.
Protect sensitive information through secure document destruction
Confidential documents need protection throughout their lifecycle, including disposal. Once documents are no longer needed and applicable retention and legal preservation obligations have been met, secure destruction helps prevent unauthorised access to personal and classified information. The EU GDPR and UK GDPR require appropriate protection of personal data and limit how long it is kept. Sector-specific rules, such as HIPAA for covered US healthcare organisations, also require safeguards during disposal. Make secure document destruction part of your information governance process to support your applicable privacy and confidentiality obligations.
Purpose-built for confidential document destruction
The Intelligent Disintegrator (ID Series) from Royal Dutch Kusters Engineering destroys bulk documents through pre-crushing followed by granulation. Depending on your configuration, the system processes 100–1,000 kg per hour. Destroy various secure materials to the highest security standards.
Your system is custom designed for your individual facility layout and your necessary and desirable requirements, including storage, feeding and shred handling.
Why choose the ID Series?
Protect classified information
Protect classified information throughout the destruction workflow, with enclosed feeding, controlled access and security alarms.
Reduce operator attendance
Limit operator attendance to loading, so authorised staff can leave the secured system to complete the batch automatically.
Fit your facility and workflow
Integrate storage, feeding and shred handling into your facility, with a modular design tailored to your required workflow.
Designed around your secure document workflow
Keep classified documents enclosed from loading through destruction. The ID Series combines lockable storage and feeding with automatic, PLC-controlled operation.
Configure your ID system
Storage, feeding and shred handling are designed for your facility layout and operational requirements. Available configurations include shred collection, briquetting, bag or container collection, redundant operation and remote diagnostics through a secure VPN connection. Hard drives and other more resilient materials require a dedicated system suited to those materials.
Load entire boxes of documents
Load entire boxes of documents directly into the ID Series, without emptying them first. The system accepts both loose and boxed documents.
Process Steps
Load and secure
Place loose or boxed documents into the enclosed storage and feeding system, then lock the system.
Start automatic feeding
Authorised operators start the batch from the touchscreen. PLC control manages the process.
Pre-crush
The first destruction stage reduces the documents before granulation.
Granulate
The second stage reduces the material to the selected shred size.
Transport and collect
Pneumatic transport uses airflow to move shreds through pipes to the configured collection or briquetting system.
