From 17 to 20 November 2025, the Cedi@60 Anniversary Currency Conference will take place in Accra, Ghana. This conference is organized by the Bank of Ghana in cooperation with Currency Research and marks the 60th anniversary of the Ghanaian cedi. The event will bring together hundreds of international participants, including representatives of central banks, currency technology providers, fintech companies, academics, and policymakers. The program will focus both on the history and importance of the cedi, as well as on the future of currency in a world where digitalization and innovation play an increasingly important role.
Royal Dutch Kusters Engineering will be present at this event to share our knowledge and experience in the field of cash security en cash processing technology. For us, this is an important platform to engage with central banks and other partners on current topics such as cash processing, quality control, sustainability, and the connection between physical and digital money. The conference also offers the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in digital currencies, fintech solutions, and innovations in banknote and coin production.
