Depending on the process of a paper mill, the paper rejects make up around 5 to 25% of the paper. These rejects include materials such as plastics and fibers that are separated from the wet paper pulp. Because of its high calorific value yet high moisture levels, one of the main challenges for this fraction is to optimize the drying process. Moisture increases weight and creates unnecesary costs in areas such as transport and gate fees. Additionally, more moisture means less constant incineration requiring additional heating. The OLP optimises the drying process of these solids and eliminates the need for multiple drying steps in your process.

How to achieve unmatched dewatering

To extract the liquid fraction the material is pressed through a sieve by means of hydraulic pressure. The two resulting fractions are the dry RDF and liquid fraction with a high level of purity. The self-learning press automatically adjusts its settings for optimal output and energy usage. The OLP can lower the weight of rejects by more than 50%.
